Whole-home organizing is our flagship service, and it is exactly what it sounds like: we work through your house or condo room by room until every space has a clear purpose and every item has a home. As a professional organizer in Fort Lauderdale, our team approaches each project with the same belief that started Organized by Anne: organizing should create order in the chaos of life, and it should look good while it does.
Who whole-home organizing is for
This service is a good fit if the clutter is not limited to one closet or one cabinet. Maybe you have lived in your home for years and the systems that once worked no longer fit your family. Maybe a new baby, a new job or a blended household has changed how you use every room. Or maybe you simply want to walk in the door and feel calm. Our clients include busy professionals, growing families, seasonal residents and anyone who is ready to stop shuffling piles from room to room.
- Families who need shared spaces that work for everyone
- Homeowners preparing to sell, or settling in after a renovation
- Seasonal residents who want the house ready before they arrive
- Anyone who feels overwhelmed and does not know where to start
Our process, room by room
- Consultation. We start with an in-home walkthrough to review areas of opportunity and areas of concern. You tell us what frustrates you, and we look at traffic flow, storage and daily habits.
- Plan. We curate an organizational plan for each room, using your existing furniture and systems wherever possible so nothing is replaced for the sake of it.
- Sort and edit. Together we sort and categorize items into keep, donate, relocate and discard. You make the decisions; we keep the momentum going.
- Contain and label. We build a container plan and custom labels so the new system is easy for everyone in the house to follow.
- Implement. We install products, set up zones and handle the donation removal so you are not left with bags in the garage.
Not sure how long your home will take? Our organizing time estimator gives you a rough sense of scope before we meet.
Design touches we love
Organizing with a touch of design means the finished space should feel intentional, not just tidy. We favor clear bins where visibility matters, woven baskets in living areas where softness matters, and matching hangers and labels that quiet the visual noise. We look for small upgrades that make a big difference: drawer dividers, lazy Susans in deep corners, over-the-door storage in small rooms and modular shelving that can grow with you. When new products are needed, we source them from local stores and keep your budget front and center.
Start with the room you use first every morning, usually the kitchen or primary closet. A quick win there builds momentum for the rest of the house. Our room-by-room decluttering checklist is a helpful warm-up.
Fort Lauderdale considerations
South Florida homes come with their own organizing challenges. Humidity means we steer clear of cardboard for long-term storage and favor sealed, ventilated or plastic containers. Hurricane season, June 1 through November 30, is a good reason to designate a clearly labeled storm-supply zone with documents, batteries and essentials that you can grab quickly. Many homes in Victoria Park, Rio Vista and Coral Ridge have limited attic or basement storage, and high-rise condos along Las Olas and the beach rely on every inch of closet space, so we plan vertically and choose multi-purpose pieces. We also serve Wilton Manors, Oakland Park, Plantation, Weston and the surrounding area; see our service area for details.
What to expect on the day
Our team arrives with basic supplies, a plan and a calm, judgment-free attitude. We typically work in focused sessions, finishing one area before moving to the next so you see progress right away. You do not need to tidy before we arrive; we want to see how your home really functions. At the end of each session we walk you through the new setup, explain how to maintain it and load up donation items for drop-off. If a single area needs extra attention, we may pair this service with closet organization or pantry organization as part of the overall plan.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to clean or declutter before you arrive?
No. We prefer to see your home as it really is so we can design systems that fit your daily routine.
Will I have to buy a lot of new products?
Not necessarily. We start with what you already own and only recommend new containers or systems where they truly solve a problem.
Do I need to be home during the session?
We recommend being present for the sorting stage so you can make keep-or-donate decisions. Once decisions are made, we can often finish setup on our own.
Which areas do you serve?
We work throughout Fort Lauderdale and nearby Broward County cities, including Wilton Manors, Oakland Park, Plantation and Weston.
